This coffee is the happy little brother to our dark roast, Virgil’s. We submitted to the dark roast craze around 2010 and this was one of the first of our dark roasts, made with organic coffee. It rose to our second top seller, and we can admit now that sometimes dark roasts are awesome. Marco’s brings incredible richness, made perfect on espresso when cut with steamed milk. It has old-school espresso vibes with an elevated flavor—a lot of that “roastiness” people associate with espresso. It’s also bold and chocolatey with brown sugar vibes. On drip, it plays well with cream and sugar.
