Friday, January 29th, 2010

We’re excited to have our new limited edition coffees sold at Atticus (click link for better photos)

Andy and Chris (Boo Radley’s) took this place over in the fall and they have created a really beautiful space.

They feature a variety of roasters, and we are honored to be included. You really should check it out–a great addition to downtown.

MoFo is in the house

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Finally, the MoFo is ready to ship! We have pre-sold 63 of them already…I thought that it was supposed to be secret, but I guess we have a leak at the factory.  Click to find out more.
Flyer below explains more, but here are some more details:

The steel can is awesome…recycle it, refill it, repurpose it or just collect the set.

This is the first coffee in our limited edition series.  We will feature a different coffee every 3 months or so.  In the can.

We just cupped the coffee again. Think “candy bar”. Chocolate, nougat, nuts…and it all gets better as it cools. Very cool coffee.

The Chronic Porter is in the House!

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

It was a great day at DOMA when we opened up the box containing these…

Check out this six-pack sitting in a fresh batch of Chronic.

Huge thanks to Paul and crew at Kettlehouse Brewing Co. Missoula for featuring our coffee in this brew.  Their beer is really amazing, and they are awesome folks.

If your are quick enough, you may be able to sample this when next at the roasting plant–but you will have to be fast–Frenchie really likes it!

Main Market Opens with DOMA Coffee.

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

After all the anticipation, Main Market opened their doors today at 10am.

DOMA was there and we enjoyed sampling coffee near their beautiful new deli. Note–the food is very good.

Changing our view of buying food one bite at a time.

We are honored to have our coffee featured at Main Market. 12 varieties of single-origins and blends of DOMA available.

Thanks to Jennifer and team for including us and for giving Spokane the gift of the Main Market!

We’ve received a few e-mails from south of the border (way south!).  A DOMA delegation is in Peru for the Annual Meeting of our buying cooperative.  You can probably guess who the team is from the photos, but I’ll keep you in suspense for a bit longer.

They are meeting with producers from all over South and Central America and visiting some farms and participate in workshops and technical demonstrations.

meetings

Looks like lots of meetings the first day.  Discussions on FLO and Fair Trade, Organic practices and coffee prices paid to the farmers.

Long busride to Pangoa.  This is at 4000 meters (12, 000 ft) above sea level.

Marco (from DOMA) and Keith (from Peace Coffee).  I guess, even in Peru, the cool kids sit in the back of the bus.

This is the last photo we’ve seen so far….Stay tuned for more updates and a full report when they get back.
